Support through the Autism Care Demonstration
TRICARE’s Autism Care Demonstration covers clinically necessary and appropriate ABA services for qualifying family members diagnosed with autism. Enrollment in an eligible TRICARE plan, a qualifying diagnosis, referral and preauthorization are required.

The official CHAMPVA guide lists medically necessary ABA as a covered service and requires preauthorization for treatment. Eligibility, cost sharing and other coverage rules apply to each beneficiary.
